Polly Clark New & Selected Poems in China

Since Bill Herbert, Sean O’Brien, Arthur Sze, Joachaim Sartorius and I took part in the Yangzhou International Poetry Festival last spring, the talented translator, Lizhen has been organising and translating our poems for publication in China.

The books are now published, by China Intellectual Property Publishing House with amazing artwork for the covers, and along with Pascale Petit, this group forms the first series. Yi Bin is the artist whose work has been used for the cover of my book: Elvis the Performing Octopus.

The next series includes work by John Burnside and Fiona Sampson. The whole concept of the Festival and the book series is the dream child of Yang Lian. Congratulations to him, the artists, the Publisher and to Lizhen!
