Glimpsing the elusive Siberian tiger is all about skilled tracking to find out where their favourite spots are and then setting camera traps in the right locations around these areas. Alexander, the owner of the reserve at Durmin, recently collected this film from one of the traps we set on our trip in November. This is a good spot because the tree is a popular territorial scent marking spot and sure enough, not long after we were gone this beautiful creature decided to check out the news on the tree. (The lump in the photo beneath the sheepskins is me departing after we set the trap. It was SO COLD).
